    No you don't need a Flickr account. You can upload your pictures from your pc or from Flickr. I find it quicker to do it from my Flickr account though. Picmonkey is another photo-editing site which lets you make collages for free.

I welcome friendly comments and if you ask a question I will respond directly here. I also respond in a somewhat random fashion to other comments. If I don't respond to your comment it is because I can't think of anything to say beyond 'thank you so much' and not for any other reason.

I notice that Blogger's word verification has become a lot easier to read and use. I have therefore decided to enable it and to allow comments from anonymous commenters again. I shall see how it goes for a few weeks before deciding whether to make it a permanent fixture.
