2014

No matter how lazy I have become about blogging this year I have managed to put together a photo sampler each month. It's something I really enjoy doing and really enjoy looking at at. I try to include samples of what I have been cooking that month and what is blooming in my garden or the local hedgerows. I hope you enjoy this look back at 2014.

2015 will be a year of milestones for us.
In January this little blog will be 5
In February Tom will be 18 and Charlie and I will celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary.
In March Katie will be 15 (not really a milestone but I didn't want to leave her out).
In July George will be 20
And in December I will be 50.
Bring it on.

A very happy new year to all readers of this blog, may 2015 be filled with good things.

Sue xx

  10. I'll be 50 this year too as will my husband ... I am rather looking forward to our centenary! I love your monthly samplers: it's amazing how they perfectly sum up each month's pleasures. I still have the calendar you produced two (or more?) years ago. I have pasted a list of birthdays/anniversaries etc for each month over the original date section (after confusing too many visitors) and it is a thing of beauty and function now for every month of every year! Happy 2015!!

  15. So many of these photos are familiar from reading throughout the year and it has made me slightly melancholy that the year has passed so quickly. What a beautiful account of 2014. And it pleases me greatly that 2015 has so many celebrations which are divisible by 5 and 10. Yes. I am slightly weird...
Happy New Year to you my dear, Ax

  31. Lovely lovely samplers, Sue, I love those crisp colourful photographs of yours. Yes, it'll be three years for me in a couple months, and I have been reading your blog for longer than that; still do your 'freezer hashes' and think of you each time I make some!
I hope you and your family have a terrific year - milestones or not! Lxx

  33. I've just followed your blog on Bloglovin. The photos are fab and loved the link to Persephone Books. I've just ordered the New House on your recommendation. Lots in common as I live in the countryside outside Cardiff and hoping to move somewhere around Malvern when my house sells. Look forward to reading about your doings.

  34. And (belatedly) a very Happy New Year to you and yours Sue.

I've just worked out that you had George, your eldest, at the same age I had Phil, my youngest ... for some reason that reminder that I spent my twenties having children has me feeling quite ancient, although I'm actually not much older than you. But bring it on indeed ... fifty is a good age to be!
