A little light ironing
A jigsaw finished
A delicious no-cook lunch of salami, olives, melon, roquefort and tomatoes
An afternoon with Nigella and Nigel
A fish supper and a lemon dessert
A glass or two of cold sauvignon blanc
Jane Eyre, the Toby Stephens and Ruth Wilson version
Fresh linen on my bed tonight and another few chapters of A Tree Grows in Brooklyn.

Perfect!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a perfect day!
ReplyDeleteSounds good to me. I foolishly tried to take advantage of being stuck at home by doing some more in the garden and got soaked - should have stuck to the ironing!
ReplyDeleteYou have this 'Not Camping' lark down to a 'T'! :)
ReplyDeleteI would come not camping with you anytime!
ReplyDeleteSounds perfect! I can't imagine why anyone would want to go camping when they could be not-camping!

Timely, thank you - just yesterday I thought of making lemon possum, and would have had to find a recipe - now I have yours, with pictures! The Gardener - a lemon posset enthusiast - will be thrilled.
ReplyDeletesounds like you are having a terrible time!! am v jealous! xx

No, it really shouldn't be allowed!
ReplyDeleteCamping....yeeeaas, the only tent I find appealing is the one in the Harry Potter film where the Weasleys and Harry are attending the Quidditch world cup; Now where did I put my magic wand?
ReplyDeleteI bet you have the most amazing store cupboard.

Yes - really - who needs camping? Sounds like the perfect day.
ReplyDeleteOh, I love A Tree Grows in Brooklyn! Read it as a teenager, and was very impressed that she would get a cup of coffee every day as everybody else in the family - even if only to waste it! Should maybe read it again, not to much else I remember (it was a while ago...) :)
ReplyDeleteThis week is getting more blissful by the minute.
ReplyDeleteI'm really enjoying sharing your 'me' time without the family.
ReplyDeleteWell done.
This looks like such a nice time off...
