This Week I have Mostly Been Eating.....

Sunday, 3 July 2011

Not everything on my menu plan  made it to the table. Some things were changed or swapped. My plans tend  to be guidelines rather than straitjackets.

Monday
Chicken kebabs, couscous salad
Raspberries

Tuesday
Pork with puy lentils ('puy lentils with everything' from The River Cottage Meat Book by Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall).
Sliced tomatoes
English cherries

Wednesday
Pasta with tomato sauce
Green salad
Goat's cheese and cherries (delicious)

Thursday
Seafood and chickpeas in a spicy tomato sauce
Garlic and rosemary foccacia
Raspberry-honey-yogurt ice lollies

Friday
Blackened (!) burgers, oven chips, salad and sweetcorn.

Saturday
Trout fillets with rosemary
Cream sauce
Green beans and peas
New potatoes
Brownies

Sunday
Pork chops with chickpeas and peppers
Blackcurrant and raspberry fool

  1. What an impressive and complete weekly menu, Sue!Yummy !
I also made chicken kebabs on Thursday, adding vegetables between the chicken pieces! Simply D E L I C I O U S ! Your suggestion with the couscous is very intersting, too!

  5. Snap. Just spotted your goat's cheese and cherries. A very appetite whetting post even though I've eaten. Great pictures.

  8. Thanks so much for sharing so many recipes. I made the Yorkshire Pudding Pizza yesterday and it went down a storm...especially with hubby who is not a pizza fan.

  9. I am delighted that you have pasta with tomato sauce. It's always one of those meals where I feel I should apologise for not providing any actual food. But if it's on a menu as impressive as yours, I shall definitely stop beating myself up about it.

  10. Like KC I am definitely moving in! (Oh and I can bring my oval stoneware dish that is the twin of yours)I am still mving my offspring towards eating pulses in things (with moderate success) but the sadly the pork and lentils would be a step too far. Sigh.
