Saturday Kitchen

Just a quick one today, I have to go and watch Dr Who.

Two healthy lunchtime salads in my kitchen today.

The salad above was one I found on Pinterest. Mozzarella 'pearls', avocado and cherry tomatoes with some basil and vinaigrette.

This one is lentils, eggs, bacon and roast peppers.
Both were delicious.

For dinner I marinated some pork chops in olive oil and lemon juice with some herbs from the garden and then I baked them.

I made chocolate mousse for pudding.
Mine is the one on the left, the right hand one belonged to one of my children.

  1. Nice food!!
Pork is always marinaded here in lemon and olive oil, makes it so much tastier and succulent, especially if it going to be bbq'd. Pearls? are they bought or do you make them??
    Take care

  2. Jude, I buy them in a carton from Sainsbury's. They're like mini mozzarella balls.

  3. I would go with the chocolate mousse eater on the right - far too good to leave any.

  6. I'm with your offspring - lick it clean! (I did that earlier with my fat free toffee yoghurt - but I am on a diet and wanted every last drop :-) Love the look and sound of the lentil salad - did it have a dressing?
